31 July 2021 Ride – Yarragon

It’s not only the end of lockdown and some restrictions, it’s also the last Saturday of July meaning we will start form Yarragon for our Westbury ride. The weather over the last week or so has been pretty cold and windy and at times quite wet. The forecast for tomorrow however is for a mild morning (rain later in the afternoon). Look forward to catching up for an enjoyable and cohesive group ride. Please have your batteries charged and lights on for our ride.

Meet at the carpark in Hahns Lane for an 8am set off, Coffee at Fozzygobbles after.

Saturday will be a mostly sunny day with a very high (90%) chance of rain, most likely in the late afternoon and evening. The chance of a thunderstorm near Wilsons Promontory at night. Winds north to northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h tending west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 13 and 20

24 July 2021 Ride – Lockdown

The lockdown continues until next Tuesday. We just need to ride at a time of your choosing, best with another, within 5km from home. Hopefully we can meet again the following Saturday.

It will be very cool and partly cloudy with high (80%) chance of showers in the west, medium (60%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 1200 metres, lowering to 1000 metres during the afternoon and to 700 metres in the evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the west in the afternoon and evening. Gusty winds and possible small hail. Winds northwesterly 25 to 40 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 15.

17 July 2021 Ride

Well what do you know! We are under our fifth lockdown, the third this year. Delta Covid19 is certainly causing untold suffering to many. We are allowed to ride but within 5kms from home. Darnum will be over 5km away for some. Those who live closer may want to ride from Darnum can do so but will have to do so in pairs. Masks are to be worn when not riding.

Let’s scratch for a  positive –  it is forecast to be raining tomorrow morning so we could spend extra time in our warm beds and then have our coffee at our respective breakfast tables.

The forecast for tomorrow is to be cloudy with a very high (90%) chance of showers in the west, medium (60%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm near the coast in the evening. Gusty winds and possible hail. Winds northwesterly 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 30 km/h before turning westerly 15 to 25 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 13.

10 July 2021 Ride

It will be frosty cold tomorrow morning but it will be dry – at least according to the forecast.  As usual we will start from Darnum setting off at 8am. Please have your batteries charged and your rear lights on for the ride. Rug up accordingly for a pleasant ride. Ride cohesively as a group. Coffee at the Stump Cafe at the end of our session.

Tomorrow morning will be partly cloudy with areas of frost and patchy fog in the morning. Slight (30%) chance of a shower. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 2 and 2 above zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 14.

 

 

3 July 2021 Ride

Is it or is it not going to rain tomorrow morning? The forecast over the last few days have been a little off beam forecasting wet mornings but turning out to be dry with very slight breeze.

It will be cool but I hope it will be ok for a ride in the morning so let plan for our usual ride from Darnum setting at 8am.

It is forecast to be partly cloudy with a high (70%) chance of showers about the ranges tomorrow morning, medium (50%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 700 metres. Possible small hail. Winds northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 4 with daytime temperatures reaching between 6 and 13.
