17 July 2021 Ride

Well what do you know! We are under our fifth lockdown, the third this year. Delta Covid19 is certainly causing untold suffering to many. We are allowed to ride but within 5kms from home. Darnum will be over 5km away for some. Those who live closer may want to ride from Darnum can do so but will have to do so in pairs. Masks are to be worn when not riding.

Let’s scratch for a  positive –  it is forecast to be raining tomorrow morning so we could spend extra time in our warm beds and then have our coffee at our respective breakfast tables.

The forecast for tomorrow is to be cloudy with a very high (90%) chance of showers in the west, medium (60%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm near the coast in the evening. Gusty winds and possible hail. Winds northwesterly 20 to 25 km/h increasing to 30 km/h before turning westerly 15 to 25 km/h in the late morning and early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 13.
