29 February 2020 Ride

Autumn is nearly upon us with cooler and occasionally damp weather in the morning. Tomorrow however, is forecast to be a little cool with patchy fog. This would mean it will be hopefully ok for a dry ride.

It the last Saturday of the month and a leap year and as usual we will start from Yarragon departing at 8am. We will have a couple of new riders doing the Rotary Convention Ride. Please make them welcome.

Forecast for patchy fog in the early morning and partly cloudy morning then a mostly sunny afternoon. Slight (30%) chance of a light shower near Wilsons Promontory in the morning. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to around 10 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.

22 February 2020 Ride

Weather for the weekend is forecast to be ideal for riding. The strong easterlies have died down and daytime temperatures are in the Goldie Locks range. So tomorrow will be great for our ride. Darnum it is starting at 8am.

Saturday will be mostly sunny. with patchy fog about the ranges in the early morning. Light winds becoming east to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then tending east to southeasterly in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 5 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.

15 February 2020 Ride

Mild temperature in the morning but it may be a  little damp. Forecast for heavy rain in the afternoon so let’s make the most of it in the morning.

There is a long stretch of road works on Yarragon Shady Creek Road so we will have to take a slightly different course – ride along Darnum Shady Creek Road and on to Sthurs Road, turn right onto Nilma Shady Creek Road to Shady Creek. We then head south on Darnum Shady Creek Road to Little Moe River Road to Yarragon. From there on we follow our usual course to finish in Darnum. Simple.

Forecast to be humid and cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm. Possible heavy falls with storms in the afternoon. Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h shifting east to southeasterly during the afternoon and evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 16 and 19 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.

8 February 2020 Ride

Mild, if not a humid and smoky morning for our ride tomorrow. Meet in Darnum for a 8am depart. Please ride safely looking out for each other. batteries charged and light on please.

Humid. Partly cloudy. Medium (50%) chance of showers. Areas of smoke haze. Winds easterly 30 to 45 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 13 and 17 with daytime temperatures reaching 20 to 25.
