1 September 2018 Ride

Spring is on its way but winter still has a tight grip on the weather. It is predicted to be wet tomorrow but we’ll  still ride departing from Darnum at 8am. Have your batteries charged and light on for your and our on road safety.

It is predicted to be cloudy with high (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Snow falling above 1000 metres. Winds westerly 20 to 30 km/h. Overnight temperatures falling to between 6 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

25 August 2018 Ride

After a rather cold damp couple of weeks tomorrow’s forecast promises to be on the improve. Might be a cool start but hey, no rain is predicted. It’s the last Saturday of August tomorrow so Yarragon is the venue departing at 8am.

Saturday will be mostly sunny with areas of fog and frost in the morning. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 14 and 19.

18 August 2018 Ride

After an almost perfect Friday tomorrow is forecast to be a little damp. As it is still winter we just need to rug up for a reasonable winter’s ride. So charge up your light batteries (front and rear) for a ride tomorrow starting from Darnum at 8am.

Here is the BOM’s forecast:

Cloudy. Very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely in the early morning. Snow falling above 1000 metres lowering to 600 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm from the late morning. Possible hail. Heavy falls possible in the south. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h turning westerly during the morning. Stronger squalls with showers. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 7 and 14.

11 August 2018 Ride

Hmm.. it might be a little wet and windy tomorrow but we’ll have a go. Darnum it is departing at 8am for our usual 40km ride.

Saturday is predicted to be cloudy with a high (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning and afternoon. Snow falling above 700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening with possible hail. Winds northwest to northeasterly 25 to 35 km/h tending west to northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h before dawn. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 15.

4 August 2018

8am depart from Darnum. The forecast is for a dry if not a cool morning. It should be reasonable for a good ride. Finish at the Darnum Stump as usual for a  coffee and a catchup.

It is forecast to be partly cloudy with medium (40%) chance of showers near Wilsons Promontory, most likely in the early morning. Near zero chance of rain elsewhere. Winds northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h turning northerly 15 to 25 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 2 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 17.
