26 June 2021 – Ride

I think we’ll have coffee at our own breakfast table instead as the weather is far from ideal for even a wet ride. Catch you all next Saturday in Darnum.

Yarragon will be our start venue as it is the last Saturday of the month. Depart at 8am if the weather will be kind to us in the morning. The alternative will be coffee at Fozziegobbles Cafe if the weather is inclement.

We have just passed the winter solstice. The days are starting to get a little longer with the passing of each day now. Hopefully we will have better riding conditions as each week passes. By the way, the Tour de France starts tomorrow with a  live coverage starting at 7:30pm on SBS Ch30. Stage1 is a flat race with a few Cat 4 pinches ending with an uphill finish.

It is forecast to be cloudy tomorrow with very high (90%) chance of showers, most likely during the day. Snow falling above 1200 metres. Winds westerly 15 to 25 km/h turning northwesterly 20 to 30 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 7 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 13.
