31 March 2018 Ride

Happy Easter all! Trust you have a lot planned for this long weekend including a ride tomorrow. It’s also the last Saturday of March. This means that we will start from Yarragon leaving at 8am.

The weather for the next few days is forecast to be mild and good for cycling. Make the most of this good weather as traditionally the weather generally cools down and breaks up after Easter.

It is forecast for patchy morning fog. Mostly sunny afternoon. Light winds. Overnight temperatures falling to between 7 and 10 with daytime temperatures reaching the low to mid 20s.

24 March 2018 Ride

It’s not quite the last Saturday of the month so we will start from Darnum departing at 8am. Please have your lights on, both front and rear, for your on road safety.

The weather tomorrow will not be entirely ideal but we may squeeze in a ride before the weather breaks. Forecast for a cloudy day with areas of smoke haze about the ranges. High (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the afternoon and early evening. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Winds northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h tending west to northwesterly in the middle of the day then tending northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 13 and 17 with daytime temperatures reaching between 19 and 25.

17 March 2018 Ride

The bush fire in Cloverlea seems to be under control. It shouldn’t affect our ride but we have to avoid riding on Hazeldean Road between Darnum Allambee and Cropleys Roads. The fire fighters will appreciate this. Darnum departing at 8am.

Ian has a Bonsai excursion and will not be able to join you all for coffee.

The forecast for Saturday is mostly sunny with slight (20%) chance of a shower in the morning. The chance of a thunderstorm in the west in the early morning. Areas of smoke haze about the ranges. 10 March 2018 Ride

It’s going to be hot tomorrow but the morning would be perfect for a ride. Please ride carefully and safely with lights on for your safety. Please also keep off the seal road whenever your need to stop during the ride – especially at our nominated stop locations.

Ian’s ribs are on the mend but is still unable to ride. He will call by to catch up and for coffee.

Summer weather keeps rolling along. The weather promisses to be good with patchy fog in the early morning. It will be a mostly sunny day with light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the early afternoon then tending south to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 9 and 13 with daytime temperatures reaching 27 to 32.
