30 September 2017 Ride

It’s not only the last day of September tomorrow but it is the last Saturday of the month. Thos being the case we will as usual start from tarragon at 8am. Ride to Westbury and back for coffee at Fozzie Gobble.

It might be a  bit damp and cool tomorrow so rug up appropriately. It will be, according to the BOM forecast, partly cloudy with a high (80%) chance of showers in the west, medium (60%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 1000 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the early morning. Possible hail in the morning. Winds northwesterly 30 to 45 km/h tending westerly before dawn then decreasing to 25 to 35 km/h in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 4 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 11 and 16.

The Weather Gods have suddenly woken up to the fact that spring has certainly sprung promising very good riding weather tomorrow morning before slumping back to a cooler afternoon with a  milder cool change.

Yes, we’ll depart as usual from Darnum at 8am. Please have your batteries charged and have your lights, both front and rear on for the ride.

The forecast for tomorrow is to be partly cloudy with areas of fog in the east in the early morning. Medium (60%) chance of showers in the west, slight (30%) chance elsewhere. The chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and evening. Winds northwest to northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h tending north to northwesterly 25 to 35 km/h in the middle of the day then turning westerly in the late afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 8 and 12 with daytime temperatures reaching 23 to 30.

16 September 2017 Ride

Well, Spring is having a bit of trouble exerting itself. It is still wintery even for tomorrow according to the weather forecasters. We’ll still have a ride departing from Darnum at 8am albeit in a damp situation. Rug up for a cold wet ride.

Without pulling any punched it will be partly cloudy with a high (80%) chance of showers, most likely in the morning. Snow falling above 800 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm in the morning. Possible hail in the morning and afternoon. Winds west to southwesterly 25 to 35 km/h decreasing to 15 to 25 km/h in the late evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

9 September 2017 Ride

Spring for some reason has taken an early holiday. The weather over the last week has been cold wet and windy. Tomorrow will be no different. The ride will still be on departing fro, Darnum at 8am. Rug up and have your lights on during the ride.

It is no surprise tomorrow will be cloudy with areas of morning fog about the ranges. High (80%) chance of showers in the west, medium (50%) chance elsewhere. Snow falling above 1100 metres. Winds west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 6 with daytime temperatures reaching between 8 and 14.

2 September 2017 Ride

Our first Saturday ride for Spring. It may be a little bit damp and cool but we’ll start at 8am from Darnum.

The weather Gods say it will be cloudy with medium (60%) chance of showers from the late morning. Light winds becoming northwest to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then tending north to northeasterly 25 to 35 km/h in the early afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 1 and 5 with daytime temperatures reaching between 13 and 19.
