18 July 2020 Ride

The Covid19’s soaring infections (428 record cases today) is not we want to see. This may, or if it continues to be this high, give rise to tougher restrictions. Let’s hope this will not eventuate.

In the meantime we will be riding from Darnum as usual leaving at 8am. It is forecast to be freezing tomorrow so rug up appropriately. It will also be foggy so please have your lights on too.

It will be mostly sunny tomorrow with areas of fog and frost in the morning. Light winds becoming northerly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning. Overnight temperatures falling to between minus 1 and 2 above zero with daytime temperatures reaching between 9 and 14.

Social distancing notice

It has been noticed by several from the general public that many cycling groups ours included, mainly after rides, have not been social distancing properly. It has been brought to my notice photographs of our after ride coffee sessions have been taken and passed around. This is not the example our cycling community would like to set. We need to be seen to be doing the right thing.

It is understood the Police could be involved should our social distancing behaviour does not improve, so please be very mindful and keep our distance of 1.5m when off our bikes especially during our after ride coffee and chin wags sessions. Your cooperation will be appreciated.
