10 November 2018 Ride

The weather  has been quite topsy curvy over the last few days. Unusually wet, windy and cold. Tomorrow according to the bureau’s forecast says that it will be much better albeit a little cool overnight.

Darnum it is departing at 8am. Please have your batteries charged and light on for the ride.

Saturday will be c cloudy with a slight (30%) chance of a shower in the southwest in the morning and early afternoon. Patchy fog in the early morning. Light winds becoming northwest to southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the morning then becoming light in the evening. Overnight temperatures falling to between 3 and 8 with daytime temperatures reaching between 17 and 23.

I notice that many of us (other riders too) are still riding to Frankies by crossing the continuous white line in Victoria Street. We need to observe road rules regarding riding (also driving) over continuous white lines. So could you please set a good example to others by riding around the roundabout to Frankies via Palmerston Street. Your operation will be noticed and appreciated.

The other is not to park you bike in the landscaped garden. There was an incident last Sunday when a  member of the public was verbally not happy we as cyclists are not respecting the purpose of the landscaping especially adjacent to Frankies. your corporation is requested.
